Lamb Palak Curry with Basmati Rice @albarakahmeatsltd @laila.foods
Growing up in the East, I would always go into Asian restaurants with family and friends, and this one was always my favourite curry!
As well as chicken, you can also use meat for this one, which was great! It was boneless lamb leg, chopped and the convenience of no fiddling was just perfect. The meat was soft and easy to cook — my family loved this yesterday.
I also used Laila Foods rice and spinach to create this.
For this dish, you will need the following:
- Olive oil (4 tablespoons)
- 3 onions (diced)
- 3 cloves of garlic (minced)
- ½ a ginger (grated)
- Lamb boneless meat @albarakahmeatsltd
- Spices and herbs: 1 tablespoon each of salt, pepper, cumin, turmeric, curry powder and 2 bay leaves
- Fresh or dry chilli (I used one, which I diced)
- 2 tablespoons of tomato puree
- 1 large cup of hot water
- Spinach puree by @laila.foods
Begin by heating your pan to medium heat and mixing your onions, garlic and ginger until golden.
Add in your meat and stir well until cooked for 15 minutes on medium heat.
Add your herbs and spices into the pan at a lower temperature and stir again for 5 minutes.
Next, add in your tomato puree (stir well).
Follow with water and let this simmer until the meat is tender for 1 hour on medium heat.
Lastly, add your spinach puree and stir well.
Serve with rice or bread.
